#1: Zach Sieler

The most underrated player on the Miami Dolphins is Zach Sieler. His story of how he became a Dolphin is very similar to Nik Needham’s.

Sieler was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft from Ferris State but could never stick around on their roster. He was cut in the middle of the 2019 season, and the Dolphins scooped him up off waivers and the rest is history.

Usually, the Ravens are the team picking up the diamond in the rough players off the scrap heat, but this time around they were the ones gifting Sieler to the Dolphins.

With 3 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble, 2 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, and 62 tackles, Sieler had himself a career year. It earned him the highest PFF grade on the entire Dolphins roster, as well as the fourth-highest grade amongst all interior defensive linemen.

Sieler is undoubtedly one of the best run-stopping DTs in the league, a huge factor in the Dolphins’ 14th-ranked run defense a season ago. If the Dolphins can get a little more production out of their linebackers, I believe this can be a top 10 run defense in the league.

I would like to add that Sieler is under contract with the Dolphins through the 2023 season, he signed a 3-year $8.575 million dollar deal back in 2020 which is an absolute steal.
