Jaylen Waddle, 23, the sixth overall pick who proved his draft stock with the output he had in his first NFL season.

Waddle has lived up to the hype. He broke the NFL rookie receiving record with the 104 receptions he had in 2021.

He also did that in 16 games, so he did not need the new extra game in order to break the record set by Anquan Bolden in 2003 with 101 receptions.

Waddle was not able to show his deep threat potential much last season. This could be linked to the poor offensive line play or some may say it was the fault of Tua Tagovailoa.

Regardless, Waddle was impressive when he was out on the field. One of his most impressive games took place in Miami Gardens versus the Carolina Panthers where he caught nine passes for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Miami has now paired this wunderkind with Tyreek Hill. The player he was consistently compared to during the draft process.

Waddle has the chance to become one of the best receivers this organization has ever had. His rookie season was a tremendous first step.

Imagining what Waddle with look like with a Hill taking some of the pressure he saw last season has become a pastime for Fins fans.  The best of Waddle is yet to be seen.
