Robert Hunt, 25, was our best offensive lineman last season. While that may not be saying much considering how bad the overall unit was the blame cannot be placed on Hunt.

Per Pro Football Focus Hunt graded at 67.4 last season. That grade left him 36 out of 82 eligible guards from 2021.

Yes, the offensive line is the largest question mark coming into this season. But with the Miami Dolphins signing Connor Williams and Terron Armstead, Hunt may take another step forward.

The offensive line is an area where one weak link may make the entire house of cards fall. This seemed to be the case last year but Hunt was not the weak link.

Hunt is also a unique asset to this Fins team due to his ability to play at multiple positions on the offensive line.

Now entering his third year Hunt already has experience at both right tackle and right guard. With the woes, this group has had having someone like Hunt who can potentially be plugged in to what the team needs is valuable.

From the reporting done by those who were at OTAs the feeling is Hunt is nearly guaranteed a spot along with Williams and Armstead.

This shows the support the new offensive line staff has with Hunt that he may not need to compete for his job unlike Liam Eichenberg and Austin Jackson who are going into training camp with question marks on where they will be on the offensive line.
