Miami Dolphins potential trap game #3: Week 12 vs. Texans

On paper, the Houston Texans look to have one of the least talented rosters in the entire league for 2022, and their projected win total is among the lowest if it isn’t already at the bottom. The Dolphins will have them on their schedule this coming season, and they’ll play against the Texans at the perfect time in the season for a trap game.

Miami’s bye week is in Week 11 this year, coming near the tail end of what should be a soft spot in the schedule, after games against the Lions, Bears, and Browns. The Dolphins will come out of the bye with a home game against Houston, just before they head out on a brutal three game road trip to begin December.

The Week 12 game has “trap game” written all over it. Whether Miami is struggling or on a roll through the first half of the year, they will look to the Texans game as what should be an easy win on their home turf. And while the results have been more even recently, the Miami is still 2-8 all time against Houston.

It will be the third-to-last home game of the season, and the final one until Christmas Day.
