Deepest positions for the Miami Dolphins: Running Back

Like their wide receiver room, the Dolphins will have a nice crop of players to choose from when it comes to the backfield as well. But for the running backs, there is less talent at the top, making the position something of a question mark headed into 2022. After years of mediocrity (at best) at the running back spot, McDaniel and company will look to turn that around this season.

Things look great on paper. The team has a new coach who specializes in running schemes, and the team went out and acquired three veteran running backs, who have all proved their worth in the league over the last couple of years in their own unique ways. Chase Edmonds, Sony Michele, and Raheem Mostert should find themselves at the top of the depth chart in some particular order.

But there are others, too. Myles Gaskin and Savlon Ahmed are the holdovers from last year’s active roster, and Gerrid Doaks will be looking to make his case for being elevated off of the practice squad. Add in undrafted rookie ZaQuandre White, and the Miami Dolphins could have their hands full with picking the best 3 or 4 of the bunch.
