Detroit Lions. 26. team. 50. . .

Dan Campbell is an inspiring head coach and players love playing for him but did he become an HC too soon? Maybe. He is building a competitive team in Detroit but everything hinges on Jared Goff and how he leads the offense. The Lions are not ready to compete yet and they may not keep Campbell around long enough to see it all come together.

27. team. 52. . . . Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have made a lot of moves including hiring a new head coach but we have seen them win the off-season in free agency before. Trevor Lawrence has a lot of talent and there is a lot of surrounding talent on offense. Not many excuses left and one could very much agree that Urban Meyer was the biggest problem with the Jaguars last year. Doug Pederson is going to do a lot better and the Jaguars should climb this list.

31. . . . New York Giants. 28. team

New head coach and a new offensive system but there are still problems in New York. Daniel Jones will get another year to see if he can turn the page on his career. Brian Daboll has been through the struggling young QB carousel before so this won’t be something unfamiliar but can he turn Jones around?

57. . . . Chicago Bears. 29. team

Another new head coach will have to do what the Giants are trying to do, get their QB situation figured out for the long haul. Unlike New York, the Bears have a QB that has shown more promise. Justin Fields will get a fresh start after Chicago made several changes to the staff this off-season and that should benefit him, but probably not this year.

team. 36. . . . Seattle Seahawks. 30

The overall consensus around the NFL is that the Seahawks are going to be at or near the bottom in 2022. All because they traded Russell Wilson to the Broncos. The Broncos tend to rank high and the Seahawks drop because of it. QB is a real issue for Seattle but they are better than where they are ranked, or at least should be but how much higher will they climb? Considering they finished the 2021 season with only 7 wins, with Wilson, it won’t be much.

Next. A way too early full first round 2023 NFL Mock Draft. dark

. Houston Texans. 31. team. 10. .

The Texans are not a good football team but they may actually have a decent quarterback in Davis Mills. Mills isn’t lighting up the stats but he is poised in the pocket and showed enough that the Texans didn’t make stupid moves to acquire a new QB this off-season. There are bigger problems than Mills in Houston and the Texans now have the draft capital to fix the team thanks to the Browns.

. . . Atlanta Falcons. 32. team. 44

The Falcons could have drafted a top QB prospect in 2021 but instead opted to draft a tight end. Kyle Pitts is an incredible TE but the Falcons are now faced with a QB problem that is going to be a top priority next season. For now, they will run with Marcus Mariota and that isn’t going to be enough to win the division. The loss of Calvin Ridley to suspension is also not going to help the team.
