The Miami Dolphins exposed Belichick after Brady left

The Tom Brady effect: (part 2)
After Tom Brady made it to the Superbowl just 1 year after leaving the Patriots, people started to ask questions about Bill Belichick.
It wasn’t only that the Patriots missed the playoffs, it was how they missed the playoffs. It wasn’t only that Tom Brady made a deep playoff run to get to the Superbowl again.
It was who he had to take out to get there, you couldn’t have found a better script in Hollywood.
But no way the old man can take out the new young prodigy in the Superbowl, right? Patrick Mahomes was already considered by many, the most talented QB to ever step on the gridiron. And “Tom Brady got this far, but no way he can go punch for punch with Mahomes.”
Brady didn’t do it all, but he would lead the Tampa Bay Bucs to not only beat the Chiefs but dismantle them to get to that Super Bowl trophy.
The skill, the genius mind, the dominance, the timelessness.
A picture so bright a blind man could see it clearly, it was never Bill Belichick… it was Brady!
They called Tom Brady a system QB, turns out Brady was the system. They said the Patriots’ culture is unmatched with drive and determination and utter will to win.
That wasn’t the Patriots, that was Brady. And now Bill Belichick is on the thinnest of ice to try and save what is left of his grand legacy.
2 years removed we begin to peel back the layers and we start to see things for what they are, I ask myself. Would any of this have happened if that fateful afternoon of December 29th, 2019 never occurred?
