Miami Dolphins: Raheem Mostert Goal #1 – Appear in 13+ games

The biggest knock on Mostert during his career is his inability to stay healthy, and the criticisms are certainly warranted. He has played more than 11 games in a season just one time during his seven-year career, and averages just over 8 games played per season.

It hasn’t been pretty recently, either. After playing in a shocking full 16-game schedule in 2019, Mostert has appeared in just 9 games in the two seasons since, including just one game played (and two carries) last year. Knee injuries, MCL sprains, and ankle problems have all been a hinder to his availability, but apparently haven’t done much to affect his speed.

The Dolphins should have quite a deep running back room in 2022, but Mostert’s health will be crucial to how explosive the backfield can be. The offense may not necessarily be counting on his production in order to be successful, but his big play ability could be enough to change the fortunes of a game or two for the better.

It would be nice to have him available for all 17 games of the season, but a modest and realistic goal for Mostert should be to appear in 13 contests. It would be the second-highest total of his career.
