Miami Dolphins: 3 goals for Raheem Mostert in 2022
Miami Dolphins: Raheem Mostert Goal #2 – 150+ touches
The Miami Dolphins backfield will certainly be a running-back-by-committee situation, as three proven veterans join what is left of last season’s crop.
If healthy, it should be Chase Edmonds who leads the group in touches, and Sony Michele figures to be a big contributor as well. The Dolphins will be running the ball more (and hopefully more effectively) in 2022, and there will be only one ball to go around to the many mouths to feed.
But if Raheem Mostert is able to remain healthy enough to achieve the goal of 13 games played, then it could be a three-headed monster coming out of the Miami’s backfield.
\It would probably look something like the 2019 San Francisco 49ers rushing attack, in which Tevin Coleman, Matt Brieda, and Mostert all finished with 140+ touches, and all within 16 of each other. That was the year that Mostert finished with 772 yards and 10 total touchdowns, and was easily the best season of his career.
150 touches over the course of the season should be a goal that both Mostert and the Dolphins shoot for in 2022, an achievable mark, especially if he is able to participate in a full slate of games.
