The Miami Dolphins landed a very good defensive tackle to compliment Christian Wilkins but could they have done better than Raekwon Davis?

Taken with the 56th overall pick, Davis received the Brian Flores “fist pump of approval” when his name was called. He has started almost every game since being drafted and has 68 tackles in his two seasons.

Davis is a tough guy up front and brings a lot of physicality to the Dolphins’ defensive front. It is hard to imagine the Dolphins’ defense being as good as they are without Davis on the line. I wouldn’t redraft and take someone else but it could be tempting.

Antonio Gibson, who was taken with the 2nd pick in round three would have been a good selection because Miami needed a running back but we may address that differently as we move along.

The list of players pretty much ends there considering that each of the players taken after Davis in round two either didn’t fill a need are having their own struggles. All in all, Davis was a good pick for the Dolphins and should be selected again.
