Skylar Thompson is really reaching for the “Skylar” and making folks giddy with what he can do.
By default, there were a decent amount of people who thought the Miami Dolphins drafting Skylar Thompson in the 7th round would lead to actually something good. I think most of that is just saying that out loud and if you’re right you’re a genius and if you’re wrong you just say I took a shot saying that.
Well, Skylar Thompson is no ordinary pick because the buzz on him in camp is that there is a lot of upside and that’s an awesome thing.
I don’t think Skylar, another great name, is going to start any games this year. I don’t even think he’ll be the #2 quarterback not with teddy Bridgewater here. But I think he is giving Mike McDaniel a lot to think about in terms of keeping three quarterbacks on the roster. That’s how good Thompson has been.

Skylar Thompson just threw a 45 yard dime cross body, off platform, right into the endzone for a TD 🔥🔥🔥🔥

If you have an infatuation with strong arms, Skylar Thompson has that in spades. Go look up Barry Jackson, Travis Wingfield, and Cameron Wolfe on Twitter or the web. They have nothing but positive things to say about Skylar Thompson.
Who knows where the path of Skylar Thompson ultimately leads? What I do enjoy is that it seems that Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier together have an eye for late-round talent. Erik Ezukanma and Skylar Thompson already showing that they might be better than where they were drafted bodes well for the future.
As I said earlier, training camp is great but we’ll know more about these guys and others when practices with the Bucs and the preseason game against them go down later this week.
Should be another fun week. Enjoy your Monday.
