Skylar Thompson has Miami Dolphins fans talking and now they get to see him on the field in action for the first time.

While Tua Tagovailoa has been getting fans hyped for the start of the season, Skylar Thompson has fans excited and frankly, it is surprising.

Why you should be excited:

Thompson has had a good training camp so far. Fans in attendance and even some in the media have been talking him up. In fact, there is more talk surrounding Thompson than Teddy Bridgwater.

Thompson is a gunslinger-type QB with a big arm. Drafted in the 7th round, he is making a case for a final 53 roster spot and a solid preseason could very well make that happen. Tonight, we get a chance to see if all the talk throughout camp translates to a game against another team.

What to watch for: Consistency and accuracy

Place on the roster: Thompson is third on the depth chart and that will not change barring injury.

Uniform number: 19

Playing time prediction: Of all the QBs, Thompson and Bridgewater will see the most playing time minutes in all three games. Tonight, most of Thompson’s playing time should come in the 2nd half and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him start the 2nd half.
