#2) Skylar Thompson – QB:

Skylar Thompson put on a show for the Miami Dolphins fans this past weekend, and if you think it wasn’t that impressive I’ll just leave this here:

The numbers speak for themselves, Skylar Thompson held his composure, never looked overwhelmed, and managed the game to the best of his ability. Was it perfect? No. But it was a great showing for his debut.

Oh yeah, did I also mention that Skylar Thompson is a 7th-round pick? Know how to set up your expectations if you’re not impressed, folks.

Skylar Thompson’s ability at the QB position was the talk of the weekend, especially when looking at the other 3rd string QBs around the league, and even some 2nd string QBs as well. And it’s important to note they have way more reps in the NFL than the Dolphins rookie.

Now I’m not saying Thompson is the next Tom Brady coming from the depths of the draft, I’m not even saying he threatens Teddy Bridgewater’s job security. But the Dolphins let go of great depth value with Reid Sinnett last year, Skylar Thompson might be even better.

Don’t let Thompson get poached from the practice squad, he could be the backup next year.
