#1) Lynn Bowden Jr. – WR:

Lynn Bowden Jr. has been quite the controversial topic among Miami Dolphins fans, many think Bowden is versatile but not special, while others think he is a Swiss Army knife waiting to be tuned up to its full ability.

For me, Lynn Bowden Jr. was one of the X-factors at the WR position along with Preston Williams when training camp started.

Last year Bowden was held back by a hamstring injury that made him a ghost in those practices, this year he was supposed to come back fully healthy. But with high expectations for a comeback, Bowden was still a ghost in practice.

I wrote about Lynn Bowden Jr’s struggles in practice and how coaches acknowledged he wasn’t getting enough reps here.

However last night everything changed, Lynn Bowden Jr. ran a nasty route to put himself wide open in the endzone for a TD from Skylar Thompson. and then ran another speed dig across the middle for a chunk gain on a catch.

Explosiveness, grit, determination, a full year, & then some of the frustrations and not getting a fair shot.

That hunger is what drove Bowden Jr. to not only get open versus his defenders but leave them stranded on an island. That’s one way to not only tell coaches you need more reps in practice, but also show them why you need them.

Lynn Bowden Jr. – preseason week 1:

  • 4 Targets
  • 3 Catches
  • 55 Yards
  • 1 TD
  • 92.6 Grade
