Miami Dolphins to make Top 100 in 2023: Jaelan Phillips

One dark horse from the Miami Dolphins roster who could make the NFL Top 100 List in 2023 is Jaelan Phillips.

Widely regarded as the most talented pass rusher in his draft class a year ago, Phillips had a streaky rookie season, but showed flashed of the dominant talent that made him a highly-touted prospect. There were games in which he had little production that made you forget he was playing, and other games in which he caused havoc in the opposing offensive backfields.

If Phillips is able to string together some good games back-to-back and fix his inconsistency woes from a season ago, then he could be one of the top pass rushers in the game. He was able to rack up 8.5 total sacks on the season, despite the streakiness, a number that we may see turn in to double digits in 2022.

Unless he puts up some seriously impressive and unpredictable numbers, he won’t be making the top 50 or even top 75 on the list in 2023. In fact, he might be a fringe guy. But a 10+ sack season could Phillips a spot in the 90s, perhaps unseating someone like Leonard Williams or David Montgomery.
