Miami Dolphins pre-season: Got that “dawg in em’ player ranking vol.2
By Juan Vasquez
#1) Erik Ezukanma – WR:
When Erik Ezukanma was drafted I wrote in a previous article that he would be a great threat to Preston Williams for the ‘big body WR’ job, many fans were excited about the pick but many told me was “just a guy.”
Erik Ezukanma had an incredible draft profile, and resume at Texas Tech:
“Just a guy, might not make the team.”
He showed flashes in OTA and rookie mini-camp:
“Just a guy, he won’t do anything when the vets come in.”
He turned into one of the highlights and breakout players for the Miami Dolphins during camp:
“Just a guy, he won’t be able to do this in the game”
Erik Ezukanma went out there and became a safety blanket for QBs vs the Las Vegas Raiders. No matter where they threw it if it was in the vicinity of Erik Ezukanma he went up and made a play for it.
I know many Miami Dolphins fans will tell me it’s just pre-season and he won’t do this vs real elite competition, look out because Erik Ezukanma has ‘that DAWG in em’
Erik Ezukanma – By the Numbers vs Raiders:
- 8 Targets
- 6 Catches
- 114 Yards
- 4 1st downs
- 93.8 PFF grade
