The Miami Dolphins secondary has taken a beating the last few weeks and the depth is a problem.

So much so that we will likely see a move made to the unit after the final preseason game.

  • 30: Xavien Howard
  • 31: Nik Needham
  • 32: Byron Jones

While these three are the absolute locks, it comes with the notion that as of right now, Jones is on the PuP list. Miami could shift around his designation if he isn’t ready to return next week. This would allow them to carry one extra player on the roster until he is activated.

  • 33: Elijah Campbell
  • 34: Keion Crossen
  • 35: Noah Igbinoghene

All three are not on the bubble and should make the roster but Igbinoghene has shown little reason to keep him outside of the money he is getting this year. Crossen has had a good camp and earned his roster spot.

Looking at the six CBs making the roster, it is clear to see the Dolphins still need help.

The Miami Dolphins safeties are a good unit and should be easy to predict.

  • 36: Jevon Holland
  • 37: Eric Rowe
  • 38: Brandon Jones
  • 39: Clayton Fejedelem

These are my locks for the 53 and I don’t see anything changing this outside of injury. That being said, I think there is room for the Dolphins to make a move and one of the final players at the CB position may lose their spot to a street free agent or a trade.
