Miami Dolphins predictions:

Week 2: Ravens 20, Dolphins 17

The Dolphins had an outstanding showing last season against the Baltimore Ravens, in a prime time game that was a part of a wildly successful two-month stretch for the team. The defense was able to stifle Lamar Jackson in to one of his worst performances of the season, and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was inserted into the game in the second half and helped lead Miami to an improbable victory in front of a national audience.

But lest we forget the dominance that the Ravens displayed over the Dolphins in the years leading up to last. Not only had Baltimore won 8 of the previous 9 contests with Miami, but their victories were more like slaughters. In three meetings from 2016 to 2019, the Ravens outscored the Dolphins by a margin of 137-16. That is not a typo.

What can we expect this time around? A Dolphins team with a rookie head coach at the helm playing in his first road game, going up against one of the best coaches of our generation, and a quarterback looking to get his revenge on the rest of the league this season. The AFC North figures to be wide open this coming season if the Bengals fail to recapture the magic they had a season ago, and Baltimore could look to get an early jump on the division by getting some quick wins under their belts.
