Miami Dolphins predictions:

Week 4: Bengals 34, Dolphins 24

The fourth and final game of the rough stretch to open the season will be the Week 4 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, a Thursday Night Football prime time contest against the reigning AFC Champions.

The previous week’s game against the Bills will certainly be the most important of Miami’s first four matchups, but depending on how they finish the initial three, the game in Cincinnati could be of the utmost importance. If the Dolphins happen to stumble out of the gate and start out 1-2 (or even worse, 0-3), then beating the Bengals will be practically essential: only one team in NFL history has ever made the playoffs after starting 0-4.

Trending. Who will lead the Dolphins in sacks in 2022?. light

There is certainly such a thing as a Super Bowl hangover for the loser from the year before, and the Bengals are prime candidates given their overachieving from last season. But they still have one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and their core of receivers is top-notch. To add to the difficulty for Miami, Byron Jones will be out of this game while being on the PUP list, so the Dolphins will have to count on their cornerback depth if they hope to stop Joe Burrow and company.

Yikes.
