Tyreek Hill will elevate the Miami Dolphins offense to new heights

Why Tyreek Hill isn’t number one isn’t to discount him, his value, or his impact. Rather it’s cause the next name on the list might be the best overall player and the second most important for the 2022 season.

Hill, however, falls to number two on this list. We all know how important he was to the Kansas City Chiefs offense, which is why Miami traded a boatload of picks and gave him a massive contract. He now should have a major role in Miami immediately.

The questions of Tagovailioa’s arm strengths won’t go away, but Hill will be an asset in that area of the game as well. The reality is that Hill ran a lot of short routes for the Chiefs last year and was effective. He caught over 100 passes and had over 1,000 receiving yards, meaning his game should translate to a similar role. The Dolphins will likely YAC the heck out of teams and Hill should be the main benefactor of that.

His biggest trait will be forcing teams to pick who to double between himself and Waddle while leaving other teammates effectively in one-on-one mismatches. The Dolphins’ run game probably won’t see many stacked boxes this season, which should help Tagovailoa in the RPO and play-action game.

Hill is widely important for this team, but the next player on this list will likely be even more important in 2022.
