We can assume that the Patriots will go all out to keep Tyreek Hill from being an impact for the Dolphins. We can also assume that Belichick will account for Jaylen Waddle as well. If he succeeds, the Dolphins’ top WR could be Cedrick Wilson, Jr.

Wilson had a good camp and showed that he deserved more playing time than he got in Dallas. With the Cowboys, Wilson was buried on a good WR depth chart but in Miami, he is the third receiver and should see plenty of opportunities as teams focus their attention elsewhere.

Wilson could emerge as Tua Tagovailoa’s top outlet target on Sunday. He runs good routes and can find open spaces and will provide Tua an option under pressure. In fact, the Dolphins should game plan to make Wilson a bigger part of the game.

The defensive focus should be on Hill and Waddle but the Patriots also have to account for the Dolphins’ run game and Mike Gesicki. All of this adds up to one-on-one coverage with Jalen Mills and that is a match that Wilson should be able to win.
