#8) Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens:

Lamar Jackson should be higher and I agree, however, the level of competition is also taken into account. While blowing out the Jets is awesome, it’s still the Jets so this is what is expected from Jackson.

Contract disputes could have made Jackson lose focus, but the 2019 unanimous MVP came in guns blazing for 3 touchdowns through the air in a dominant victory at MetLife.

#7) Jameis Winston – New Orleans Saints:

Jameis started slow and inaccurate, but game managed himself to halftime. And after coming back down 2 scores he started dicing up the Falcons’ defense, Winston was assisted heavily by Taysom Hill in the run game so passing lanes opened up.

The defense also helped the deficit not get out of hand, but all that means nothing if you don’t have a closer. Winston was cold-blooded in the clutch.

#6) Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles:

Jalen Hurts showed flashes of potential last year and now with new offensive weapons, the young signal caller was on fire. 243 Yards and no touchdowns passing, but 90 yards and a touchdown rushing.

Jalen Hurts accuracy is not his strong suit, but being a gamer and a playmaker is. I think the Philadelphia Eagles also love what they see so far, but it’s a long season.

Hurts would have made it deeper in our list if his passing was more efficient in the RedZone.
