#26) Baker Mayfield – Carolina Panthers:

Stats and passer rating tell you Baker Mayfield had an okay performance. But he took 4 sacks mainly because of holding on to the ball and had 4 fumbles due to horrible ball protection. Some might say a fumble or two were misfires with the center, but most of those were the result of poor decision-making.

The Panthers failed to gain any momentum for almost 3 full quarters of play, mainly due to Baker Mayfield. And his bad performance might be the only reason the Browns won.

#25) Derek Carr – Las Vegas Raiders:

I’ve always been a big believer in Derek Carr, and now he has all the weapons + coaching available to succeed. However, once again when the lights are brightest Derek Carr folds.

The Raiders only lost by 5 points in a game where Derek Carr threw 3 INTs and fumbled twice, keep in mind most of these turnovers happened late in the game. Some QBs hanging out in this area have lost key pieces on their team, this is the Las Vegas Raiders’ best team in years!

There are ZERO excuses to be this bad.

#24) Joe Flacco – New York Jets:

The Jets got walked around the park by the Ravens and Joe Flacco was Joe Flacco. he put up 300+ yards and a touchdown while playing in an offense that isn’t very good, Flacco is a backup filler QB and played his role well. Especially for Jets standards.

Not much you can expect from a backup in a bad situation.
