NFL QB rankings after week 1, where does Tua Tagovailoa land?
By Juan Vasquez
#11) Tua Tagovailoa – Miami Dolphins:
The Miami Dolphins fans finally got a taste of Mike McDaniel’s new offense and walked out with a solid 20-7 win, Tua Tagovailoa played a decent game but left a lot of meat on the bone for big plays.
Tagovailoa’s bread and butter is efficiency and keeping the ball out of harms way, which gets him a solid ranking this week. But this type of performance isn’t much better than QBs in the 14-16 range in our list.
The Dolphins once again won helped by a tremendous effort from the defense, but that type of help isn’t guaranteed vs the top teams.
#10) Carson Wentz – Washington Commanders:
While the Colts are in shambles after failing to win vs the Texans, Carson Wentz was putting up a very solid performance for the Washington Commanders. 4 touchdowns and 2 picks, and a win, many thought the Commanders were dead but Wentz isn’t that bad.
However, I do expect this to be one of his best performances all season.
#9) Daniel Jones – New York Giants:
Football is truly incredible, on any given Sunday Aaron Rodgers can look like steamed excrement and Daniel Jones can look like an athletic Kirk Cousins. Danny Dimes was throwing DIMES. 81% completion, 2 touchdowns, and of course his signature move – a fumble.
However Jones looked composed and distributed the ball well, Jones couldn’t get this high in the rankings by himself though. Saquon Barkley kind of carried him here. Enjoy your stay in the top 10 Mr. Dimes.
