Liam Eichenberg has to start taking steps forward. Last week he was o.k. but today he needs to be a lot better.

At some point, the Dolphins are going to need Eichenberg to take a big step forward. The Dolphins rushing attack depends on it and frankly, they have been atrocious between the tackles. This is where Eichenberg needs to be better.

Mike McDaniel’s offense is based on a positive rushing attack and so far, through one game and preseason, we have only seen him needing to pass because the team can’t run. This is a problem for the entire offensive line, not just Eichenberg but with Little now at right tackle, the Dolphins may need to attack the middle of the defensive front and that means Eichenberg has to play better.

This is a key game for the Dolphins offensive line and it still amazes many that the Dolphins executive and coaching staff are fine with the play so far, in as much as not getting another lineman to compete from the street.

Miami invested in the line with the additions of Terron Armstead and Connor Williams but if the interior linemen, like Eichenberg can’t progress, it won’t matter much. Miami needs their rushing attack to work today.
