5 Ravens players the Miami Dolphins have to take out of the game
By Brian Miller
Patrick Queen will be another linebacker that the Miami Dolphins need to account for because of his ability to read and react to the run.
If the Miami Dolphins are going to run the ball, they will need to take care of linebacker Patrick Queen. The three-year veteran is coming off a 2021 injury that took him out of all but one game last year. He is a tough linebacker who two years ago was an AP Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate.
Queen has great mobility behind the trench and can read and react just as fast. He can cover tight ends in the passing game and has the ability to delay his rush to get to the quarterback. He only has 5.5 career credited sacks but he can be disruptive. In pass coverage, he has one interception but he give ups yards and Miami can take advantage of that. Opposing QBs have had ratings of 104 and 115 against him.
This is an area that Miami needs to work and while he is good, the Dolphins should attack him and make the Ravens beat their offense with other players on the roster.
One of the problems for the Ravens this week is their secondary. The Ravens are banged up and may be without their top two corners, if that is the case, Miami will have an opportunity to succeed in getting the ball downfield but accounting for the five players mentioned here, it will make it a lot easier to control the game.
