Connor Williams has taken big steps in becoming a better center every week, but it felt like this week he got the biggest change under the most control.

His snapping issues seemed to seize. It appeared that every snap was right in Tua Tagovailoa’s gut and he didn’t have to move to grab any of them.

If Connor Williams can continue to do this while opening up running holes, he will be a monster for the Miami Dolphins in the run game.

He led all centers in week 1 with the highest run blocking grade. However, pass blocking has not been his strong suit ever before. I think as the season progresses that should as well, but right now he is the mauler in the run game that this team signed up for.

Connor Williams’s ability to get to the next level is the reason this Miami Dolphins team was able to run the ball 18 times for 86 yards.

That number last year would have seemed unattainable, but with this new motto of Coach McDaniel and this team’s ability to get out in space and block in the open field, look out.

Connor Williams will continue to be a big deal and well worth the price if he can keep the penalties down, and the run blocking up.
