Grading out the Miami Dolphins offensive line week 3 play
By Wesley Minke
Terron Armstead had himself a day on Sunday afternoon in South Florida. Well to be fair, Terron Armstead has had himself a great season.
He has been worth every little bit of that gigantic deal he signed this off-season. Terron Armstead has not only been a great leader and mentor to all the younger guys on this offensive line, but he has been the presence Tua Tagovailoa has needed on the offense to give him confidence in the pocket.
He has not committed a penalty or allowed a sack yet. He has been a monstrous and dominating force in every spot he has been in this season, all while facing the opposing team’s best edge rusher, week in and week out.
Terron Armstead is currently ranked 10th amongst 70 eligible tackles according to Pro Football Focus. His play this week was among the most impressive work he has had in a Miami Dolphins uniform.
He was a stabilizing force on the left side, while also showing signs that he can get out and run in open space to blow open some holes. He is the complete package.
He got Von Miller and Matt Milano as his matchups this week and took full advantage of the spotlight. He completely shut them down and kept them off the stat sheet.
Von Miller’s only stat this week was a pass defended. Not a single tackle for loss, nothing. Credit to Armstead and Greg Little for shutting down one of the league’s absolute best.
He gets another big challenge this week with Trey Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard. I hope he takes full advantage of it.
