Melvin Ingram has been incredibly good for the Miami Dolphins in 2022 and this week, he could be the disruptive force Miami needs to win.

Last week, Melvin Ingram made plays as he has done all season long. He was awarded the AFC Defensive Player of the Month award and has looked more dominating than he has in the last couple of years.

This week, he can take over the game defensively with Phillips.

Ingram is going to play a big part in the Dolphins’ defensive game plan that will try and limit Zach Wilson’s time in the pocket. For Ingram, he is going to have his opportunities but it will be more interesting to see how he handles coverage duties.

If Miami’s defensive speed becomes a problem for the Jets’ offense, expect them to start using quick dump options. This is where we could see tight end Tyler Conklin.

So far, Conklin has not been used in the passing game all that much. It’s a point of contention for Jets fans. He has been needed to block for the most part and this week could be the same but Miami has to be ready for increased involvement and Ingram may be responsible for keeping out of the passing game.
