#1: The New York Jets were better than the Miami Dolphins:

I know the facts I mentioned earlier might have sounded like excuses to some of you, but they were facts. In the end, the Jets beat the Dolphins fair and square. I know a lot of people want to blame the defense, but they can only do so much if the offense provides no help.

However, that does not excuse the fact that the Dolphins have a big tackling issue going on right now. Jets RB Breece Hall went berserk with 197-yards of total offense, just gashing through Miami’s defense.

“Bend don’t break” is Josh Boyer’s way of life but when your players are running on low gas tanks due to being on the field for so long, maybe you want to bring out the best plays earlier than when the other team gets in the RedZone.

Listen I’m no expert, but I have common sense. And it does not take a genius to find out why the “bend don’t break” philosophy crumbles entirely late in games for two weeks in a row.

The Dolphins’ defense is now ranked 25th in yards allowed per game (386.8), 25th in first downs allowed per game (21.6), and 30th in opponent 3rd down conversion (49.21%) and that is bend don’t break because Miami goes lockdown in the RedZone right?

WRONG.

The Miami Dolphins defense currently ranks 29th, giving up 26.2 points per game. Only ahead of the Chargers, Seahawks, and Lions.

The New York Jets kept their foot on the gas, but that doesn’t excuse a late-game meltdown. Josh Boyer needs to answer, fast.
