Miami Dolphins players who could be traded

1. Myles Gaskin / Salvon Ahmed

The Dolphins currently have one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL, statistically speaking. It hasn’t affected the bottom line very much, as the team has been rather successful despite the fact. But they have a system in place and a two-headed running back duo with Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert who have gotten a heavy bulk of the carries early in the season.

The running back room is deep. So deep in fact, that last year’s RB1, Myles Gaskin, Had yet to take a snap in 2022 before Sunday’s game against the Jets. Salvon Ahmed, who had 129 attempts over the last two seasons, has zero offensive snaps so far. Could one of them become expendable if there is a running back-hungry team that is willing to give up a mid-to-late round draft pick in exchange for one of them?

The only issue with that would become depth. Mostert has dealt with injury issues in the past, but has remained healthy thus far this season while playing in over 56 percent of the team’s snaps. Should there be an unseen and unfortunate ailment to he or Edmonds, and Ahmed and Gaskin are not around, then the Dolphins would likely turn to practice squad rookie ZaQuandre White for depth. Which might not be a terrible thing.
