On the offensive side of the ball, the Miami Dolphins need to figure out their line problems.

Terron Armstead is dealing with a toe injury that could keep him out today. Miami elevated Brandon Shell and another lineman for today’s game and that seems to indicate uncertainty with Armstead. Still, it’s not Armstead that is the problem. It’s Liam Eichenberg.

Eichenberg has had a horrible start to the season and the last two weeks have not been good. Typically, we would blame the inept offensive line coaches but Matt Applebaum is not inept. In fact, he has a good history of coaching the positions.

Miami has struggled with consistency at right tackle and left guard. While tackle has been a problem since Austin Jackson was lost to injury, Eichenberg has started all season and the addition of Armstead on his outside has not helped.

Eichenberg needs to get better quicker and if the Dolphins see something special in him, they need  to bring it out of him because right now, there isn’t anything to be excited about.
