The Miami Dolphins will face a Lions defense that has talent up front but struggles with consistency in almost all areas of the game.

At cornerback, the best of the Lions defense is Jeff Okudah but he has struggled as a former first-round draft pick. Drafted third overall in 2020, Okudah has not come close to becoming the player the Lions thought they were drafting.

In his three seasons, Okudah has started 13 of only 16 games played as he has spent much of his time injured. He missed all but 9 games his rookie season, all but one his 2nd year, and but has started all six games this year.

He has 75 combined tackles and one interception coming in his rookie season.

The best player on the Lions defense is rookie Aidan Hutchinson taken number two overall last April. Hutchinson has been a bright spot for the Lions defense and this week he will go up against Terron Armstead. If Armstead can stay healthy throughout the game, this should be a fun match-up to watch.

Hutchinson has 4.5 sacks and 9 quarterback hits to go with his 17 tackles.

DeShon Elliot leads the team in tackles with 49 but the safety will be out this week. Linebacker Alex Anzalone, a quasi-star of the Hard Knocks series, is second with 48 combined. He has great range and vision and can make plays up and down the line of scrimmage.
