Oh, the Miami Dolphins have players that rush the passer, but collectively they’re fake.

Sorry not sorry if calling the pass rush a fake pass rush but it’s not real like other teams have. What sucks is that you would think the collection of players they have in Ogbah, Phillips, Ingram lll, and Van Ginkel would be better but they got absolutely nowhere yesterday against the Lions.

What made matters worse is that Boyer kept running the cover-0 where he sent more rushers such as safties and they didn’t get close to Jared Goff. The Lions’ offensive line handled everything the Miami Dolphins brought and it’s why the Lions were able to gash the Dolphins in the first half.

In the second half, the rush wasn’t any better but the Dolphins, smartly, adjusted and ran more coverage and it worked. If that’s what has to happen then so be it.

But man alive it’s disheartening to see all these guys get picked up by the offensive line every series. I don’t know if they have to run a different scheme to bring pressure or what. But something has to happen because the secondary is so inexperienced and asking them to cover man to man so often is going to be problematic.
