Miami Dolphins: 10 observations from Week 9 win over Bears

2. Hill gets the touches, but Waddle gets the touchdowns

Tyreek Hill may be the player targeted the most by Tagovailoa, but he had just two touchdowns on the season coming in to the game against the Bears. He was able to nab one in the red zone on Sunday, his first since Week 2.

But his running mate Jaylen Waddle caught one as well, bringing his personal total to six on the year, easily the most of any Dolphins receiver. One of the recipes for success for the offense early in the season has been to move the ball down the field using Hill for chunk plays, and finish it off with the Tagovailoa to Waddle connection for 6.

3. How about no more backflips?

Tyreek Hill is certainly the most productive player in Miami’s high-powered offense, and they lean on him heavily, as they should. His
importance can not be understated, and it is essential that he remains healthy throughout the season.

That is why my heart skipped a beat or two when Hill did an acrobatic backflip after he scored his touchdown against the Bears. The flip itself was a thing of beauty, and reminded us that Hill is an athletic freak of nature, but any unnecessary risk to his valuable legs is something that can make us hold our collective breath.
