No Chase Edmonds, no problem Jeff Wilson Jr. is the real deal.

Jeff Wilson Jr. has been here for about 10 minutes and he had as many rushes as Raheem Mostert. He also had two more catches than him. Why? Because he knows the system that Mike McDaniel is running out there and because Wilson Jr. is a really good player.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how much run Wilson Jr. got yesterday. I was hoping that McDaniel would give him more than three plays. Wilson Jr. played a bunch and the trade has also paid off. Jeff Wilson Jr. scored on a reception something we didn’t see him do a bunch of at San Francisco.

Also, Jeff Wilson Jr. made some excellent blocks as Tua stepped up in the pocket.

What I loved about Wilson Jr. yesterday were his feet. There was one run where he made the most subtle jump cuts to the left that had guys diving at air.

I felt like there was a portion of the game where Mostert never touched the field. Mostert’s role might diminish just a bit but he still is going to be a big part of the offense. It’s him and Jeff Wilson Jr. and I think the addition of Wilson Jr. will take this offense to an even better level than it already is. It will make throwing the ball even easier than it looks.
