It’s that time of year again: The NFL Mid-Season of No Return Awards
By Matt Serniak
This NFL award goes to the player that has found a nice spot on the bench to hide from their boss.- Cedrick Wilson
The critics might say that I’m cherry-picking with this NFL award because I’m giving it to a Miami Dolphins. Fans of this outfit will say that I’m spot on and that Cedrick Wilson very much deserves this award.
This past offseason, Cedrick Wilson, signed a three-year deal worth $22M with $12M of it being fully guaranteed. That’s a lot for the #3 receiver but we all acted like he was a very good #3 receiver to go with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Well, Cedrick the exact opposite of an entertainer, has a grand total of six catches for 63 yards in nine games. He has been relegated to fielding punts and is consistently out-snapped and overshadowed by Trent Scherfield and even River Cracraft. Not exactly what all that money was for.
Maybe the second half of the season will yield better results for Cedrick Wilson. I wouldn’t count on it seeing that it’s much more likely that Wilson will hatch a scheme to steal fractions of pennies from Stephen Ross only to get caught because he put a decimal in the wrong place. Hopefully, someone burns down Ross’s office if this happens.
By the way- go watch the movie Office Space if you’re lost here. Trust me, you’ll be thanking me later.
