2.)  Resign Brandon Shell to a 4-year deal.

This move is extremely simple. It is a move that, pending a crazy free agent on the market at a reasonable price, makes the most sense for the Miami Dolphins.

Brandon Shell has played so far beyond what expectations were for him when he was signed from Seattle, that he earned himself a nice extension to stay in Miami. I think this would also make sense from a continuity standpoint as well.

Of course the plan this season was for Austin Jackson to make the transition to right tackle and make that his spot for the future, but Brandon Shell has played so well that I don’t think that starting spot is up for debate.

If Brandon Shell and Terron Armstead were the tackles of the future for the Miami Dolphins following this season, I don’t think many people would be complaining.

You also have to look at it from the aspect of teaching another guy outside of Austin Jackson this scheme, and how you want this offensive line to move in both the run game and pass protection. Brandon Shell has over-performed, and he has earned his keep for the Miami Dolphins going forward.
