5.) Resign Trent Sherfield to a 3-year deal.

After the flop of a signing that it seems Cedrick Wilson Jr. was, 2 signings paid off for the Miami Dolphins in Trent Sherfield and River Cracraft. I think unfortunately with the assumed addition of Erik Ezukanma within next year, River Cracraft will lose his role.

Trent Sherfield however, has become a critical player in this scheme and on this offense. With the speed of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, Trent Sherfield’s game has been in a way, overlooked and underprepared for.

He has been a very trustworthy guy for Tua Tagovailoa and a guy he is willing to just throw a 50/50 ball up to and be confident he will come down with it. I think a big part of Sherfield’s game has also come from following Wes Welker and Mike McDaniel.

He fits the scheme, and he is a great compliment to the speed of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. He also is very good at finding the soft spot in zone coverage and sitting down in those places. He has become an integral part of this offense.

Finally, for the price we will be able to snag Trent Sherfield at, you won’t be able to beat that production. He isn’t going to command a big price, and for a guy that you can plug and play at any WR position, he is well worth it.

Not to mention, coming from that San Francisco offense with Wes Welker, he has learned how to block out wide in the run game. That is very good news if you want to compete for time on this offense.
