3 reasons why the Miami Dolphins can win the AFC East

1. The Jets are coming back down to Earth

One of the biggest surprises through the first 10 weeks of the season was the New York Jets. After losing in Week 1, they had won 6 of 8 games and were even atop the division for a spell after beating the Bills. They have young talent all over the field (except at quarterback) and should be a dangerous team a couple of years down the road, but the Jets seemed to be well ahead of schedule.

They’ve only played one game since they beat Buffalo, but New York now finds themselves at the very bottom of the division. Miami has overtaken them with their success, and the Bills’ victory over the Browns on Sunday kept them afloat. The deciding factor came down to the game between the Jets and Patriots, and New York had the opportunity to take over first place.

Instead, Zach Wilson did Zach Wilson things, the Jets scored 3 points, and the Patriots were victorious after a last-second punt return turned in to the only touchdown scored in the entire game. New York now finds themselves in dead last, and things won’t get any easier. Their next four games are against the Bears, Vikings, Bills, and Lions, and they’ll cap off the season with a road game in Miami.
