Predicting the 3-game road trip for the Miami Dolphins

December 4th @ San Francisco 49ers

SF 27, MIA 20

This is not only the game of the week, but it could be a candidate for Game of the Year when we look back at the 2022 regular season. The Miami Dolphins will play the first of back-to-back games on the West Coast in Week 13 when they travel to the Bay Area to take on one of the Super Bowl favorites in the NFC.

The San Francisco 49ers seem to be hitting on all cylinders over the last few weeks, and will have the top defense in the league coming into Sunday afternoon’s contest. They’ve allowed a total of zero points over the last six quarters of play, and they haven’t given up more than 16 in any game since Week 7.

So what happens when an unstoppable force like the Dolphins offense meets an immovable object like the 49ers defense? We’re about to find out on Sunday, but I think that San Francisco may end up having the slight edge. Miami’s offensive line will be banged up, shuffled around, and missing its most important piece, and they’ll be playing 3,000 miles away from home after nearly a month without leaving South Beach.

Mike McDaniel will certainly have his troops ready for battle, and we may even come out of this one chalking it up as a moral victory. Both teams will slug it out for their first 20 points, with the 49ers adding a late, back-breaking touchdown to win the game.
