The Miami Dolphins could help themselves out by utilizing just a few more screen passes.

I’m not looking to overhaul the offensive strategy or anything like that. All I’m saying is that due to Terron Armstead, probably, being out meaning the offensive line will be nowhere near as strong or reliable, using a few more screen passes to the wide receivers and running backs isn’t a terrible strategy to keep that aggressive 49er pass-rush at bay.

The 49ers have statistically the best defense giving up the least amount of yards in the league along with giving up the least amount of points per game. They also rank 8th in most sacks.

We know that Nick Bosa and company are going to look to bully(ironic isn’t it) the Miami Dolphins offensive line which in turn would get Tua off his spot. The Miami Dolphin’s offense is predicated on rhythm and timing, two things that Tua does as well as anyone in the NFL. But, where Tua is vulnerable is having to hold on to the ball and improvise when he can’t get to his back foot.

To take some pressure off the offensive line, I wouldn’t be at all upset if just a few more screens to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle and even the running backs were in the game plan. No need to change everything up but getting the ball out of Tua’s hands even a hair faster than usual, which also gets the best players on the team the ball in space would make that defensive front check-up just a little bit.

This is still a vertical passing team and that doesn’t need to be shelved. I’m just saying to add a little variance into the game plan due to the potential loss of Armstead.
