Thanks to Chris Grier, the Miami Dolphins got a third-round draft pick from the New England Patriots for DeVante Parker. Parker hasn’t been missed.

For now, the Patriots’ selection will be better than Miami’s with five games to go. Miami could be looking at this selection being in the mid-teens or more likely low 20s which would put them in the early 2nd half of round three.

With their first pick in round three, the Miami Dolphins select…D.J. Turner, CB, Michigan

The Dolphins need to add to their cornerback unit and very well may go in that direction in round two. I expect the team to be looking at the position in free agency as well and if Byron Jones does not come back next season as many believe possible, CB becomes the number one off-season need for the Dolphins.

If the Dolphins stick with the offensive line in round two, I expect CB to be the go-to in round three, especially with the team’s first pick in the round.

Michigan has been impressive this year and their secondary has been good. Turner will need to develop more but his 6′ frame will help against bigger receivers. He needs to use his body more and become more physical but there is a lot to like here.

Others that could get consideration, are Jaylon Jones, CB, Texas A&M, and D.J. Graham, CB, and Oklahoma.
