Pick Analysis. Left Guard. AndrewVorhees. 52. 59. Scouting Report. USC. player

I think this pick would be a slam dunk for the Miami Dolphins. I have him as my 2nd best offensive guard on my big board this season in mock drafts, trailing only O’Cyrus Torrence out of Florida. However, he fits in the Mike McDaniel wide zone scheme almost perfectly.

He is very good at getting to the second level in the run game and is an extremely capable pass protector as well. It will only help tremendously to be surrounded by Terron Armstead and Connor Williams. I think he is already better than Liam Eichenberg and would be a day 1 starter on this offensive line.

Vorhees will need some help in the straight-ahead run game because he hasn’t proven his ability to move his feet consistently, but he is an incredible puller as a guard in the run game. Which in this offense is a great asset to have.

He has great speed for his size at 6’6 325 lbs and has ridiculous power to go with it. He has to work on his technique, and when he does he will be one of the better guards in the league very quickly as well. Surrounded by great players, and put in an offensive lineman’s dream offense filled with running and pulling, Vorhees would be a great fit.

There are a few picks that we could’ve taken elsewhere here, like Jack Campbell, Garrett Williams, or Clark Phillips, but we address those needs later in this draft class. Which I think is a good one.
