2023 NFL Mock Draft: Miami Dolphins full 7 round mock draft
By Wesley Minke
Ronnie Bell was the big play threat for the Michigan Wolverines this past season outside of running back Blake Corum. While Ronnie Bell isn’t the biggest receiver in this draft class, his long arms make him a big target in both the red zone, as well as in 50/50 balls to go up and get it over smaller corners.
However, his biggest threat to the Michigan offense will add just another element to an already fast offense in Miami. He was used primarily as a deep threat to take the top off the defense. He can still do this for the Dolphins, but I think he might also be used as an intermediate receiver.
This late in the draft you are just looking for guys with huge potential, and Ronnie Bell is one of those players in my mock draft. I think he has a lot of potentials, but this WR depth chart in Miami is already a tough group to fit into.
With an expectation that Erik Ezukanma will be ready to contribute and be added to this offense, we are left with the idea that this offense may not need anything else from a pass-catcher or speed outlet. However, Bell brings something different.
Bell is a very reliable pass catcher and very good in space, which is what this Mike McDaniel offense looks to create for these receivers. He may be a project, but it is not likely you get guys with this much untapped potential this late in a draft. So I jumped on it in my mock draft.
