Miami Dolphins: Players with most to prove in final 3 games

The Miami Dolphins will count on their star players down the stretch of the season, and these three guys will have plenty to prove.

The Miami Dolphins will enter the final three weeks of the NFL season with high aspirations as they attempt to solidify their postseason candidacy. They’ll play against middle-of-the-pack teams, which will give them an excellent chance of qualifying for the playoffs for the first time since 2016 (and second since 2008).

For some players on Miami’s roster, they’ll be playing with something to prove as well as trying to win football games. The Dolphins have had a rollercoaster of a season, with winning and losing streaks dominating the schedule, and there have been seemingly just as many struggles as there have been positives in 2022. For as high-powered as the offense is (at most times), the defense is equally shaky and inconsistent, which is a big reason why Miami is still fighting for a spot in the postseason.

But before they can get to the playoffs (or the off-season), there are some roster evaluations to be made. There is a group of defensive players that have not lived up to expectations so far this year, who fans and coaches will be looking for to step up when the games mean the most.
