Miami Dolphins players with something to prove

2. Bradley Chubb

There is still time for him to make good on the trade that brought him to Miami, and he will be tied with the team for the foreseeable future, but Bradley Chubb needs to begin pulling his weight on the field and on the stat sheet.

The 2022 calendar year was filled with high-profile acquisitions by the Dolphins, from McDaniel to Hill to Armstead. But it was capped off at the trade deadline when Miami sent a package that included a first round pick in exchange for pass rusher Bradley Chubb, who was added to the mix in order to bolster Miami’s pass rush.

To be fair, the Dolphins have been getting a noticeable amount of pressure on opposing quarterbacks over the last three weeks. But most of the production is coming from guys like Jaelan Phillips, Christian Wilkins, and Zach Sieler. Chubb does have 2.5 sacks since joining Miami, but he hasn’t notched one in the last two weeks, and has just 3 combined tackles in that time.

The final three opponents for the Dolphins don’t boast the greatest passing attacks, and their defense should look to feast in ways that it hasn’t in many weeks. Bradley Chubb could use a dominant game or two.
