The Miami Dolphins could have been flexed again this week along with the Patriots in Foxoboro but the NFL decided to flex the Steelers and Ravens.

What does it say when you have two teams fighting for a playoff spot but you would rather move a game with absolutely zero playoff implications at the moment? It says that the Dolphins and Patriots suck. Can you say that these days?

Sadly, it’s true. Miami isn’t the draw they were four games ago and frankly, we should be thrilled they are keeping the Dolphins and Patriots in a 1:00 time slot because the Dolphins have sucked this year on center stage.

Miami lost to the Bengals in an early primetime game. Sure, Tua missed most of it but still, they lost.

Miami played the Steelers on a Sunday night and even honoring the 1972 undefeated team wasn’t enough to get Miami a run away victory. No, the Dolphins needed a last second interception by Noah Igbinoghene against Kenny Pickett.

Miami was supposed to play the Chargers in the afternoon slot but the NFL said, no, this is a big game, they flexed the game to Sunday night. Miami lost.

The following week was also supposed to be a day game with a 1:00 kickoff but, again, the NFL saw an opportunity and the game was flexed to Saturday night. A great game for sure but again, the Dolphins lost.

On Sunday, the Dolphins lost on Christmas Day, another prime opportunity to showcase the team but instead, showcased a failure to win.

Miami has played in five games that have had no competition for viewership and they have lost all but one.

This coming week, there will be no flex and if Miami loses, maybe they opt to flex the season finale against the Jets if New York wins this week. It could become a win-and-you’re-in game and if we know anything from this year, it’s Miami doesn’t play well when everyone is watching them.
