Media, players, and doctors suggest Tua Tagovailoa should “shut it down”
By Juan Vasquez
Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has entered the concussion protocol again, and now the media, players, and doctors suggest he should shut it down.
When December started the Miami Dolphins were 8-3 with aspirations of winning their division and maybe even the AFC Conference, 4 weeks later the Miami Dolphins are 8-7 and have once again lost Tua Tagovailoa to the concussion protocol.

This means that this is the second time Tagovailoa has entered the concussion protocol this season, and if you want to count the Bills hit where Tua was all wobbly then that’s possibly 3 concussions in the span of little over 2 months.
I’m not a doctor but doctors, media, and former players all mention the same thing “3 concussions in one season? It’s time to shut it down.”
Is it time for Tua Tagovailoa to sit out the rest of the season? Call it quits and enter retirement? Or is there a chance Tua can come back and lead the Miami Dolphins to the playoffs?
Time will tell and so far it’s too soon to call, but here are what some of the top names in the field are currently saying:

CTE Researcher and neuroscientist also spoke on Tagovailoa’s concussion suggesting “his season is over.”
What do you think is going to happen with Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion situation? Is it getting blown out of proportion? Is it expected to be this concerned? Let us know what you think.
No word has yet come out on who will be the starter vs the New England Patriots in week 17, but I am very doubtful that 1) Tua will be cleared by then, and 2) Even if he’s cleared, the Miami Dolphins might lean towards letting him rest.
