Chris Grier needs to no longer be the GM of the Miami Dolphins.

The time has come for Chris Grier to be shown the door. The guy has been here, with the Miami Dolphins, since 2000 and had been the general manager for the last 6 seasons. In that time the Dolphins have had zero playoff wins with one playoff appearance coming in his first season.

Over Grier’s tenure, we’ve seen whiffed picks, terrible free-agent signings, and plenty of clear-cut signs that Grier has no earthly idea how to build a winning team.

Sure, he drafted Jaylen Waddle, Jaelan Phillips, and Jevon Holland. He traded for Tyreek Hill, and signed Terron Armstead. He also traded for Bradley Chubb who was out yesterday who’s best quality since coming from Denver is that he made Jaelan Phillips slightly better.

The thing about all those draft selections and signings is that they didn’t mean anything. This team was designed to win right now and all they did was, at best, win the same amount of games last year when the team didn’t have Hill and Armstead.

But that’s what Chris Grier does. He surrounds himself with players that are always hurt. In the biggest game of the year, most of all the star players were out due to injury. That’s a friggin problem.

The biggest mistake is the most obvious one. He drafted Tua Tagovaoloa over Justin Herbert. Yep, many still had Tua ranked over Herbert and plenty of folks will say they did even though they didn’t, The point is is Grier is making a ton of money to be able to sift through all the garbage analysts on TV and the internet to not take a guy who had a plane crash level injury over the rocket-armed stud. He didn’t and it’s largely why the Miami Dolphins are where they are.

Prepare yourselves to start seeing all types of articles calling for Grier to be legitimately fired. I know Stephen Ross has some sort of weird affinity for Grier but the time has come. What a Grier firing means for McDaniel and Tua. who knows? Usually, a GM wants their own people in the building so prepare yourself for another chaotic offseason, unfortunately.

And let’s not forget, this team might still actually make the playoffs. We’re Bills fans now and yes I want to make the playoffs even if it’s another route.

I’m just going to continue on the natural progression of being a fan of the Miami Dolphins fan; indifference>general malaise>slight enthusiasm>stability>a little bit of glee from offseason videos>protect ourselves getting too hopeful>okay, I’m hopeful now>uneasiness>panic>frustration>rage/mania>indifference
